Students at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts can access study-related information on myCampus, but there's no overview of their accumulated ECTS credits. To plan module registrations, they must manually tally credits from the "My Registrations" list—a time-consuming and error-prone process.

Our goal is to develop a Chrome extension that provides a structured ECTS overview, both in total and per semester.

After finalizing the elements, we focused on layout and design. We created both light and dark modes but chose light mode for consistency with myCampus. Using Figma Dev Mode, we structured everything for easy implementation during development.

Developing the browser extension provided us with valuable learning experiences, as it was our first time working on this type of project. While structuring the interface with HTML and applying styling with CSS was straightforward, implementing the functional elements presented some challenges. We encountered two primary issues:

After extensive work in Visual Studio Code, we successfully completed our Chrome extension. We also created a PDF guide for easy installation and use. This project deepened our JavaScript skills and was a highly rewarding experience.
